When going at... 30 km/h, it takes 18 metres to come to a full stop. 80 KM/h, it takes 76 metres to come to a full stop. 110 KM/h, it takes 126 metres to come to a full stop
When driving... Follow at a safe distance. Allow at least two seconds between you and the vehicle in front in good weather, and at least three on highways. If you get caught drinking and driving, the penalties for drinking and driving are big! You could be prohibited from driving or have your vehicle impounded for 24 hours. If you failed or refused a breathalyzer test, you’d be prohibited from driving for 90 days. And you could also be charged with a Criminal Code offence.
